We are part of the Department of Biology at Loyola University Chicago.

Oligodendrocytes and myelination

Oligodendrocyte biology and myelination are very complex processes, and their disturbances leads to severe consequences on neuronal function. The goal of our research is to advance our understanding of the significance of oligodendrocytes in the pathogenesis of various CNS disorders and to explore the potential of oligodendrocyte protection as a therapeutic approach.
